Placing an order and price and payment:

The contract for the purchase of any Ticket will be between you and the Organiser. These contracts will only be formed when the Organiser has received payment in full for the Ticket(s). Until such time there is no contract between you and the Organiser for the Ticket(s) or related services. The Organiser reserves the right in its sole discretion to reject any order it receives.

The price of any Ticket will be as quoted on this site at the time we accept your order, except in the case of obvious error. This price will include VAT where applicable but is exclusive of any booking fee and collection or delivery fee which will be indicated to you during the order process (including on the breakdown of costs on the order page and confirmation of order page). Prices are subject to change at any time.

We use our best efforts to ensure that the prices of Ticket(s) displayed on our site are correct. If an error or inaccuracy is discovered and we have not yet taken payment we will normally reject your order for Tickets and notify you of such rejection. You will then be able to order the Tickets at the correct price if you wish (subject to availability).

We are under no obligation to provide the Ticket(s) to you at the incorrect (lower) price if the pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could have reasonably been recognised by you as a pricing mistake. We reserve the right to withdraw from any contract in the case of obvious and unmistakable pricing errors.

Payment for all Tickets must be made by Visa or MasterCard. By providing the details of a credit or debit card, you confirm that you are authorised to purchase the Tickets and that you are the holder of the relevant credit or debit card or are expressly authorised to use this to purchase the Tickets.

We use a third party payment provider to assist us to process payment.

We reserve the right to cancel bookings which we reasonably suspect to have been made fraudulently or bookings we suspect have been resold or transferred without our approval.

Any credit notes or discounts offered outside of the standard ‘Early Bird’ ticket release can only be redeemed against full price tickets and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Concessions:

To ensure that the festival is available to all, the Organisers offer disabled ticket holders, subject to availability and processing time, a free ticket for a Carer. This offer is open to those who hold a current higher rate of DLA, or other UK government approved supporting evidence of their requirement for a Carer. Carer tickets can only be issued against standard adult entrance tickets.

Please note that this offer is only available to those people that would be unable to attend the festival without a full-time assistance. We will only offer a Carers ticket to an individual who is in receipt of UK Gov DLA Support at the Higher Level including the ‘care’ component or an individual who receives the UK Gov PIP Support. Carers will need to send proof that they are in receipt of a Carers Allowance for the individual who wishes to attend the event. The Organiser will ask for evidence to be presented to the Ticket Booking Team. Every application is assessed on an individual basis and if anyone is found to be making a fraudulent application, we reserve the right to cancel both the original ticket and the carer ticket, before and during the event.

To apply for a carer ticket please email us at tickets@yorkshiredalesfoodanddrinkfestival.com with proof of a standard ticket purchase (e-ticket email) and a copy of your letter of award for the DLA (or equivalent). These must be received by the 30th May 2024.

The Organiser does not offer Carer Tickets for children under 18 under any circumstances, as children cannot attend the Event without an adult.

Please note that Celebrity Chef Tickets and any Camping / Caravan / Motorhome Tickets are not part of this offer. To be accompanied for a Celebrity Chef session the Carer will also require a ticket.

This offer only applies to Tickets purchased at full price.

The Organiser reserves the right to make alterations to the published Event programme, including advertised masterclasses, workshops, activities, activations, live music and schedule timings where reasonably necessary.

Celebrity Chef tickets include access to one of the time slots stated on your tickets. The Organiser has no control over the Celebrity Chef performance content and / or production. In the event of one of our booked Celebrities cancelling their performance for any reason, our Celebrity Booking Agent will endeavour to provide an alternative Celebrity. No refunds will be given.

It is your responsibility to ascertain whether an Event has been cancelled or re-scheduled and the date and time of any re-scheduled Event.

Where an Event is cancelled or re-scheduled, we will use our reasonable endeavours to notify you using the details you provided us at the time of ordering. We cannot guarantee that you will be informed of such cancellation before the date of the Event.

Our office (telephone 01756 796015) and email tickets@yorkshiredalesfoodanddrinkfestival.com will not be manned from the 1.7.2024 as all of our team will be onsite building the festival with limited access to email and no telephone access. There will be an out of office response detailing the answers to the most common queries and all other information can be found on our website under the Frequently Asked Questions Section or relevant area. Any issues not addressed under the aforementioned should be sent to us by Facebook Messenger. We will only respond to questions that are not covered elsewhere as described. Additional Terms which form part of this agreement – some of these terms are supported by additional information provided on our website.

Campsite Facilities Provisions:

This information is included in these terms as to inform you of the restrictions of the Event Venue and the fact that some of the facilities may not be available at all times. The Event is a festival. The Event Venue is a working farm and is comprised of undulating grass fields with no hard standing areas. All surfaces are uneven and there are some sloping areas. There are small streams running adjacent to some of the camping areas, so appropriate care should be taken. The water supply for the entire site is mains water but limited in volume and water pressure. Hence, we cannot guarantee that the water supply to the posh toilets, washing-up sinks and showers will be continuous and uninterrupted over the Event weekend. The Organiser does not guarantee that the showers will be available at all times. There is a very limited number of washing-up sinks and these all only have a cold-water feed. The Organisers recommend that you wash any equipment at your tent, caravan or motorhome. Due to the topography of the site, waste skips can only be located at certain points on the farm. The Organisers request that you take your rubbish to the allocated skip for your area and not leave it near your pitch.Due to water restrictions onsite and the natural topography of the land, showers, posh toilets and porta-loos can only be located at certain points. This means that in some camping areas the distance required to access the facilities will be further for some customers. The facilities available in the different areas are described below:

Gold Camping:

Access to and from the Gold Camping area is via GATE A and a grassy slope across a field.

Posh style chemical ‘proper toilets’ and showers are provided. There are no ‘posh style’ disabled toilets in the Gold camping area. A disabled port-a-loo style toilet is located in both the Gold EHU Area and the Gold Non-EHU area. There are no Disabled Showers. Electric Hook Up Terms & Conditions:

“Electric Hook-up Provision” means the provision of a Ceeform Plug socket within either a camping, motorhome or caravan space.

Key Points to be aware of in relation to Electric Hook-Up:

Electrical provision at the event is provided by a Sub-Contractor and not the Organiser. There is no mains electricity at the venue and electricity is provided by fuel generators. These may emit fumes and do make a noise when they are running. Your allocated space may be near to a generator. We cannot permit customers to select their pitch location at the Venue and customers will be allocated a space by the Event team upon arrival at the Event. The Event team managers decision is final. The electricity is turned on at 12:00 on Friday 19th July 2024 and turned off at 10:00 on Monday 22nd July 2024. The Organisers do not guarantee the continuous supply of electricity given the nature of the supply. Customers need to be aware that the generators may ‘trip’ if over loaded (i.e. having a hair dryer running at the same time as a kettle) and will need to be reset on your allocated board. Customers are asked to also be aware that the generators may fail and need resetting by our Electrical Team. As the team are working across the entire event venue it may be some time before they are able to respond to a generator failure. The Organisers ask that customers be patient in such circumstances. This may also occur during the night, in this instance the Electrical Team will respond as soon as practicable, which may be the following morning. You should contact the Campsite Warden (Security Team) outside of the event opening hours to notify the team of a generator failer. Their telephone number is displayed on the Camp Sites Information boards. Electrical Hook Up is a ceeform socket. The Organiser does not provide connectors or extension leads so you are expected to bring your own. If you forget your connector please contact one of the Event Team at the festival who may be able to help you.

Access to the Event:

You can only access the Event by car (you will need to purchase a car park ticket to leave your car onsite), by taxi drop off, or on foot at GATE C or you can stay onsite. There are no public buses which run during the Event operational times. The Organiser does not offer any transport from either Skipton High Street or the Train Station. The Event is a major event, so expect delays and leave plenty of time for travel. The Organisers recommend staying on site to maximise your Event experience. For those choosing to visit for the day the Organisers recommend arriving as early as possible. There is no last admission time, however arriving late in the day will limit the length of time that you have to experience the Event. The Organisers accept no responsibility for your ability to access the activities provided by the Event due to your late arrival.

Parking:

All parking at the Venue is grass fields, some of which are located on sloping ground. The Event Venue is a working farm and is comprised of undulating grass fields with limited hard standing areas. All surfaces are uneven and there are some sloping areas. The grass may also be long and wet dependent on the weather. We may use some light tracking in the adverse weather conditions. The Event car park for those not staying on site is located at GATE A. You must purchase a ticket to park in the car park. Car pass hooks should be positioned on your rear-view mirror before you arrive onsite. There is very limited disabled parking, this is allocated on a first come, first served basis and is usually full by 10am. In the event that the disabled parking area is full you will be directed to park in the standard parking area which can be over 500m from the main entrance gate. In the event of adverse wet weather you may be directed to park in our overflow parking areas which are over 1000m from the main Event entrance.

Disabled Access & Facilities:

The Event Venue is a working farm and is comprised of undulating grass fields so may be challenging for wheelchair users. All surfaces are uneven and there are some sloping areas. The grass may also be long and wet dependent on the weather. There is no metal tracking at the Venue. We may in adverse weather conditions lay light tracking on the main entrance areas only. Despite the challenges of our venue each year we welcome hundreds of people with accessibility needs. We can charge mobility scooters at our Information Hub, subject to availability (located near the Campers entrance), we offer closer seating in our Big Top, please notify us via email and we will allocate you a space. These are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Accessible toilets are located at all standard toilet locations and can be found on the Event map on our website. The 2pm Celebrity Chef sessions have a BSL Interpreter.
